Is this the future of computing? My MacBook Pro vs. My iPad2 + Bluetooth Keyboard. In all honesty - the iPad2 is winning so far as a very neat mobile solution. Yeah, geek moment over (for now anyway).
Wow, feels weird to finally put 2011. I really wasn’t in the mood for going out last night, but didn’t want to stay in alone and be a loser - so headed out to a local house party which was a good laugh - was tired today but didn’t drink that much so wasn’t hungover thankfully.
I’m so happy right now. I guess, it’s because I have alot of good stuff going for me at the moment. When you’re truly in control and in the driving seat of your life - anything is possible and it feels amazing. I spent 2010 with alot of regrets, I’ve let them go finally and am really all about what the future holds and making sure my life is everything I want it to be and more.
Just finished the forth season of the OC all over again and I’ll admit a few tears fell from my eyes with the fate of the Cohens - makes me think alot about my own life and how certain things just have to happen whether they make you laugh, or make you cry - sometimes we just have to accept our fate and take it on the chin. Sounds like a gloomy start, but it’s a lesson I’ve left the hard way last year - you can’t force anything. You have to have patience, passion, energy and a little bit of faith - if you have those key ingredients, then you have nothing to fear.
January is going to be a little manic and a little stressful - have 4 assignments to hand in (and yeah, you guessed - not started any of them yet). Plus a contract law exam next week - which shouldn’t be too bad. I’m quite happy though as right after my exam I’m going to visit the Apple store and spend a chunk of my Student Loan on a nice new Macbook Pro. Visiting London on the 6th too, and have alot of letters to write to sort out the uni transfer - which I’m still undecided about. It’s a move down south or up north - I don’t think I’ll have too much trouble moving (since I’ve moved like a million times before) but it’s that all important decision which makes it hard. I wish you could just move Universities each year for the 3/4 year course - would make the experience a whole lot more exciting, sort of like a trip about the country - would build you up alot more I think.
I really want to sort my health out this year too - have neglected the very important fact that I am a diet controlled diabetic. I’m a year behind on my check ups for my eyes, feet and annual blood tests. Need to work on my energy this year and really push myself to get up in the morning at set times, eat better food and try and go to bed at reasonable hours - I hate being tired all the time, it’s really unproductive and feels shit. I don’t want to suddenly get bad news about my health so really need to start now.
Planning my Summer already too - want to go on a journey across the world… USA, Australia and Asia - try and stay 2-3 nights in each location and get the most out of a couple of months. Some of my friends went to the USA and hired a villa for 2 months last summer and after stalking their photos for weeks on end, it really inspired me to move my ass and get into the big wide world and find my place. I don’t think I want to stay in this country for too much longer - I love the sunshine, the beaches & the fresh air… hopefully I can move sooner than later.
Otherwise, I’m set and ready to go - with a new wardrobe I collected from the Christmas Sales (some real bargains out there!), have a real plan and at the moment the energy to push ahead. Let the year begin, I hope 2011 is a good one.
Oh and yeah, this was a very pointless post but I wanted to open the year up with a mini plan.
